Edwardsville, IL, March 10, 2016– The Junior Service Club of Edwardsville/Glen Carbon is committed to continuing education and to the development of strong young women in the community. Therefore, the Junior Service Club is inviting high school female seniors within School District 7 to apply for its scholarship. Two qualifying high school seniors will receive a $1,000 scholarship, paid to the student’s account at her school of choice.
To be eligible, applicants must graduate from Edwardsville High School, Metro East Lutheran High School or Father McGivney Catholic High School during the current year. They must graduate with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and plan to attend an accredited college, university or trade school in the upcoming fall semester. The scholarship will be awarded based on an evaluation of the candidate’s scholarship, character, and service as reflected within the application, essay portion and letter of reference.
