JSC is proud to partner with District 7 schools to provide new and gently used shoes and socks for families in need, help stock the school care closets, and supply gift cards to nurses in emergency situations. Every donation helps ensure that local children have access to comfortable, well-fitting shoes and socks so they can focus on learning, growing, and thriving. |

Why Shoes and Socks?
Shoes and socks are among the most requested and least donated items in schools and community programs.
For growing children, the need is especially urgent. Shoes that fit today may not fit tomorrow. Kids can outgrow several shoe sizes in a single school year forcing many families to choose between replacing shoes and covering other essential expenses.
A new pair of shoes may seem small, but to a child it can mean everything. It provides comfort, restores confidence, and helps them walk into school feeling included, prepared, and cared for. By meeting this basic need, we can remove barriers to attendance, participation, and success both in and out of the classroom - while giving students the dignity every child deserves.
